Dave Pepler is recognised as one of South Africa's leading conservationists. He is recipient of the 2001 Molteno Medal for services to Conservation. He lectures in Nature Conservation at the University of Stellenbosch. He has a particular interest in the conservation of birds of prey and couples this with a wide remit in the fields of ecotourism and nature conservation. He is a Director of Wildhorus Limited and of Horus Wildlife Consultants. He has worked throughout southern Africa and also in Uganda. He is an audit specialist for forest certification.
