Bjorn Osterlof has experience in the fields of
Environmental Chemistry, Biotechnology, Medicine and Nature Conservation. He
has worked in both the government sector as department director in the
Environmental Protection Agency and in Industry where he was the
environmental manager for Stora one of Sweden’s largest forestry and forest
products companies.
He has experience in environmental management both in
the industrial field and in natural resource management. He has considerable
experience as an auditor according to FSC principles and has advised
companies on achieving EMAS and ISO 14000 environmental management
standards.
He has served on a wide variety of national committees
in his field.
Member of the Swedish working group for standardisation
of evaluation methods for LCA in the development of the ISO 14000 standards.
Chairman of the board of the Central Chemicals Register for the forest
industry in Sweden.
Member of the committee for Environmental Monitoring at the Swedish
Environmental Protection Agency..
Member of the board of the Industries Network for Product Ecology.
Member of the Research Committee for Metals and Organic Pollutants at IVL.
Participation in the working
group for the development of environmental indices in the EPS project (a
life cycle analyses project at Industriförbundet and IVL), with
particular emphases on the effects of forestry.
